4" OD Spinnaker Pole End Fittings Pole End Fittings are divided into several categories, listed below. Standard End Fittings are suitable for use on the Outboard end of the Pole, and on the Inboard end when a Ring Car (or a fixed Mast Ring) is used on the Mast. Their use on both ends is required when using an End for End jibing procedure. See also: Spinnaker Cars. Special Inboard and Outboard Ends require the use of a Dip Pole jibing method and more specific Mast attachments, these categories include more specialized fittings such as Reaching Strut Ends. -- See also: Spinnaker Cars. End Fitting Adapters, or Collars, allow the use of a larger diameter tube with end fittings designed for a smaller one.

Standard Pole Ends for 4" OD Tube Listed below are Standard End Fittings - suitable for use on the Outboard end of the Pole, and on the Inboard end when a Ring Car (or a fixed Mast Ring) is used on the Mast. Their use on both ends is required when using an End for End jibing procedure.

Aluminum Piston End for 4" OD Tube: NF 13640: Cast aluminum Piston End incorporates eyes for attachment of pole lift bridle and foreguy, Piston has hole for attachment of a Trip wire. Piston End has a stainless steel spring-loaded plunger pin that must be manually retracted by pulling on a lanyard, to attach the fitting to a ring or guy. Black anodized fitting (w/ adapter) projects 6" (maximum) from tube end. Replacement Piston & Spring Kit is available for this item, Order NF EF-PK-2.
Aluminum Trigger End for 4" OD Tube: NF 10054: Cast aluminum Trigger End incorporates eyes for attachment of pole lift bridle and foreguy, Piston has hole for attachment of an externally mounted Trip wire, allowing for operation while at the fitting. Trigger End is like a piston end, except that when the plunger is manually retracted it locks in the open position, waiting for pressure on the Trigger (from a ring, car or guy) to cause it to snap shut. Black anodized fitting (w/ adapter) projects 6" (maximum) from tube end. Replacement Piston & Spring Kit is available for this item, Order NF EF-PK-2.

Special Inboard Pole Ends for 4" OD Tube Listed below are Special Inboard Pole Ends. They require specific Mast attachments, See Spinnaker Cars, and the use of a Dip Pole jibing method.

'Ultra' Plastic TS End for 4" OD Tube: EF-400-UTS: Forespar 'Ultra' composite TS End has socket for 1" OD Forespar TS Pin. Unit locks automatically when pushed onto TS Pin, and is released by pressing SS lever protruding from one side. Gray molded TS End. F mmm	m
Aluminum TS End for 4" OD Tube: EF-400-ATS: Forespar cast aluminum TS End has socket for 1" OD Forespar TS Pin. Unit locks automatically when pushed onto TS Pin, and is released by pressing SS lever protruding from one side. Gray anodized TS End is 5 1/8" long and projects 3 5/8" (maximum) from tube end. F
Nicro-Fico 5/8" Pin Receiver End w/ Sheave for 4" OD Tube: NF 10044A:
Cast aluminum Bayonet Pin Receiver (PR) End fits Nicro-Fico standard 5/8" diameter bayonet pin. Automatic latch is released with the press of a button. Release latch is shrouded to prevent inadvertent release and to protect fingers. Sheave for retractable Bridle is recessed into casting. A clean, smooth functioning system. Black anodized Nicro-Fico PR End projects 5 1/2" (maximum) from tube end.
Sparcraft 'Stubbie' Pin Receiver End for 4" OD Tube: SPC EF-400-PRAX:
Machined aluminum 'Stubbie' Bayonet Pin Receiver (PR) End fits Sparcraft standard (7/8" diameter) bayonet pin. Automatic latch is released by pulling SS Spring Pin. Original, pointed 'Stubbie' End, has Aluminum Pin Socket. Black anodized Sparcraft PR End projects 3 1/4" (maximum) from tube end. tcm
Sparcraft GP Pin Receiver End for 4" OD Tube: SPC EF-400-PRS: Deluxe GP Bayonet Pin Receiver (PR) End features SS Pin Socket and is machined for maximum weight reduction. Automatic latch is released by pulling SS Spring Pin. Black anodized Sparcraft PR End fits Sparcraft standard (7/8" diameter) bayonet pin, and projects 2 3/4" (maximum) from tube end. tcm

Bell Plug End for 4" OD Tube: NF 13677: Cast aluminum Bell Plug (BP) End fits Nicro-Fico, AMCO, and old-style Forespar standard Bell Toggles. Standard Bell Plug End has 1 1/2" diameter ball, Black anodized BP End (w/ adapter) projects 9 1/2" (maximum) from tube end.

'Ultra' GPS Composite Trigger End w/ SS Liner for 4" OD Tube: EF-400-UGPS:
Forespar 'Ultra' composite GPS Trigger End incorporates Spectra loops for attachment of pole lift and foreguy, formed SS liners to minimize chafe on the Guy, and includes an internal Spectra Trip lanyard. Sparcraft Stainless Steel Intrepid II Outboard End incorporates SS investment cast Trigger Assembly integrated into lightweight cast Aluminum body. Originally developed for the 12-meter Intrepid, this simple and efficient unit is still the standard Pole End for IACC yachts and others from 50' up to maxi yachts. State-of-the-art Trigger End includes provisions for an internal Trip lanyard. SS end features integral eye for attachment of foreguy, pole lift attachment eye is cast into Aluminum body. Reaching Strut End for 4" OD Tube: EF-400-RSO: Forespar cast aluminum Reaching Strut (RS) End for 4" OD Tube has sheave for up to 5/8" line. Gray anodized end has heavy finger on upper side and integral 1/2" ID bails (on 4 sides) for attachment of control lines. Unit projects 8 1/4" from tube end, 2" OD Sheave bearing surface is 3 3/4" from tube end. F

End Fitting Adapters Adapting Collars allow End Fittings to be used with larger diameter tube. This sometimes results in a net weight savings, and often allows for configurations otherwise unavailable. Please Note that adapting collars can be used together, but have ID's designed for End Fittings and can not be used for sleeving two sizes of tubing together. As always, special sizes are available on a Custom basis.
