2 1/2" OD Spinnaker Pole End Fittings Pole End Fittings are divided into several categories, listed below. Standard End Fittings are suitable for use on the Outboard end of the Pole, and on the Inboard end when a Ring Car (or a fixed Mast Ring) is used on the Mast. Their use on both ends is required when using an End for End jibing procedure. See also: Spinnaker Cars. Special Outboard Ends are available, including Reaching Strut Ends. End Fitting Adapters, or Collars, allow the use of a larger diameter tube with end fittings designed for a smaller one.

Standard Pole Ends for 2 1/2" OD Tube Listed below are Standard End Fittings - These pole ends are suitable for either (or both) ends of a spinnaker pole or whisker pole, or the inboard end of a reaching strut. Their use on both ends is required when using an End for End jibing procedure. When used on the Inboard end a Ring Car (or a fixed Mast Ring) is required on the Mast.

'Ultra' Plastic EL Piston End for 2 1/2" OD Tube: EF-250-UXP:
Forespar 'Ultra' composite EL Piston End incorporates Spectra loops for attachment of pole lift and foreguy (or bridles), and includes an external Spectra Trip lanyard with terminal eyestrap. Self-Latching EL Piston End has a stainless steel spring-loaded plunger pin that can be engaged simply by pushing onto Ring or Guy. Gray molded End Fitting (w/ adapter) projects 3 3/8" (maximum) from tube end. F
Aluminum Piston End for 2 1/2" OD Tube: NF 13625: Cast aluminum Piston End incorporates eyes for attachment of pole lift bridle and foreguy, Piston has hole for attachment of a Trip wire. Piston End has a stainless steel spring-loaded plunger pin that must be manually retracted by pulling on a lanyard, to attach the fitting to a ring or guy. Black anodized end is 5 3/4" long and projects 4 1/2" (maximum) from tube end. Replacement Piston & Spring Kit is available for this item, Order NF EF-PK-2.
Old-Style Aluminum Piston End for 2 1/2" OD Tube: NF 13625X:
Old-style Pole End is more rounded and slightly longer than New-style end. Cast aluminum Piston End incorporates eyes for attachment of pole lift bridle and foreguy, Piston has hole for attachment of a Trip wire. Piston End has a stainless steel spring-loaded plunger pin that must be manually retracted by pulling on a lanyard, to attach the fitting to a ring or guy. Black anodized fitting projects 5 1/8" (maximum) from tube end.

Special Outboard Pole Ends for 2 1/2" OD Tube Listed below are Special Outboard Pole Ends. Fittings listed here are for Outboard use only, and are not compatible with any standard Mast fittings or Cars.

Reaching Strut End for 2 1/2" OD Tube: NF 13825: Cast aluminum Reaching Strut End for 2 1/2" OD Tube has sheave for up to 7/16" line. Gray anodized end has heavy finger on upper side and integral bails (top & bottom) for attachment of control lines. Unit projects 6 7/8" from tube end, 2" OD Sheave bearing surface is 4 1/4" from tube end.

End Fitting Adapters Adapting Collars allow End Fittings to be used with larger diameter tube. This sometimes results in a net weight savings, and often allows for configurations otherwise unavailable. Please Note that adapting collars can be used together, but have ID's designed for End Fittings and can not be used for sleeving two sizes of tubing together. As always, special sizes are available on a Custom basis.
