Pearson Yachts Boom Sections & Parts |
|
|
Pearson Yachts used a wide variety of different Boom Sections
during their production history. In addition to purchasing complete spars from outside
vendors, Pearson had its own Spar Shop which built spars for many of their models
using tubes and components from other spar builders, as well some of their own design. Listed below are Boom Sections and Components originally produced by Pearson, and by other spar builders that are not detailed elsewhere on this site. Some of these components were also used on early models produced by Bristol, O'Day, and other older boatbuilders. Most common Boom replacement parts are listed underneath the Boom Section that they attach to. To find the part you need, first, determine which Boom Section the part attaches to by measuring the section. Then, click on that section. Descriptions, specifications, and, in many cases photos are displayed there. Please Note: Almost All Pearson models used at least two different Boom Sections during their production history. It is impossible for us to know exactly which spar sections you have on your Pearson, and what parts you need. If a part you need is not listed on-site, please forward a sketch or photo of the part with measurements and full details including which boom section the part attaches to. If you unable to determine which Boom Section you have from the details given on-site, we will require a tracing of the Boom Section with measurements. In addition to the items listed on this page, please note the following: Isomat
built spars for many larger Pearson models, beginning in 1984. All Pearson's with Isomat
Spars used Isomat's NG series of Masts, and NB series of Booms. Kenyon Spars built spars for many Pearson models including the Pearson
Flyer, and the entire Pearson Triton (Bayfield/US Yachts) line, not
including the original Triton 28. In addition, Kenyon also built Masts and Booms for many of the
Pearson 23's, 28's, 30's, 303's, 32's, and the Pearson 530's. Kenyon Sections were also
used on other Pearsons. Rig-Rite built Booms (in addition to those
listed on this page) for many of the Pearson 28's and Pearson 30's,
See: Rig-Rite #6 Boom.
Rig-Rite Sections and hardware were also used on other Pearsons. Spartan Spars' CD-4 Boom Section was used on some larger Pearson Yachts. Other manufacturers were also used by Pearson, supplying complete boom assemblies, or bare tubes and/or components for assembly in the Pearson Spar Shop. Many items are still available, see above.
