| Jam Cleats | |
| Cleats are used to tie off a line (halyards, reef lines, sheets,
etc.), wherever needed. Jam Cleats are generally similar to
Spar Cleats (a narrow base attaching
with 2 screws) but with an extended foot with a V-Groove on one side designed to wedge the line as
tension is applied. They generally also have a hole in the base so the line can be run through it
and knotted, preventing the line from getting away. Rig-Rite stocks a variety of Jam Cleats.

Backing Plate is 3 1/2" long x 1" wide x 1/8" thick, and has (2) slots (3/8" x 1") on 1 5/8" centers. Suitable for use with all Cleats on this page. |
